Isn’t WiFi great? If you’ve got a working wireless connection hooked up to your Wii and have yourselves a memory card, you’re all set!
The Homebrew Browser is a revolutionary new program that allows you to download Homebrew straight from the internet onto your Wii. No more taking out of SD Cards and copying over files. The application features a list of features, such as automatic updating to a newer Browser version, deletion of apps, and it’s even able to update your Homebrew apps once a new version is released!
How it works:
- The Homebrew Browser (HBB) contacts main server to receive a listing of the current homebrew applications. The list contains the different homebrew application names, image file sizes, boot file sizes and whether it is a dol or elf file.
- HBB checks to see if the user has the latest image files (stored in /temp)for all homebrew listed. If the image is out of date or missing, it downloads the image file.
- Once in HBB and when selecting a game to install, it downloads the icon.png, meta.xml and boot.dol/elf files from the server.
Kick-arse!
Not working.. It says connection Established and then just stays on Retrieving the Homebew List…
?? or does it take more than 10min :s
Worked the second time :/
By far the coolest app yet
Good work!!
so, this just for home-brew? Or is there VC games too?
Yeah. You can’t *legally* download Virtual Console games without paying for them. Homebrew only
So revolutionary! I’ve downloaded a lot of stuff already!
By far the best piece of homebrew software out there. Tried it tonight, downloaded Wii Physics and wiiftp proggy. Just amazing how easy it all worked.
