As a "journalist:, I can't state my opinion in the actual report, but I can by all means say it here: This is actually a pretty good idea. I like the idea that this will go after all companies that try to reproduce the R4 carts. The only problem I have about this is that the end user may have to suffer. There was a post on another forum that got to me: What if mom and dad bought little Johnny a flashcart not knowing real vs fake? Then little Johnny tries to update it, and his whole DS breaks.
Apart from that, with proper notification from the R4 team, I think this is a good if not drastic step

this is very important news. good find ned. Hopefully people are aware and not get any of these fake ones. Are there still people that are looking for R4s?

I'm not sure. IMO the cart to get at the moment is the CycloDS, but this is still very important to anyone who currently owns an R4

R4s are not all the great anyways, there limit is 2gb is it not?

Not sure bout you guys but my R4 works fine even it is a chinese version. Im just into NDS games so watever functions extra (mp3,movies,e-book) i didn't really bother. To verify it is a REAL R4 cards..... from the picture it is obvious that any flashcard for NDS NEED to have another extra miniSD to work... dat fake R4 dont even need it..... wow that's dope...!

and the real R4 comes with a 'USB alike' miniSD slot and a cover for your R4 card.... is it same as you guys...?

Well, I don't have an R4, but I do know that all of these antics will happen after September 15th... so be careful after that date
