hi peoples. im new here. usually im at the psp-hacks forums. im finally getting a ds since im getting bored with my psp. after searching around the web for a couple of hours, ive found the stuff needed to play backups of nds and gba games on my ds lite. the sad thing is i really cant tell which one is the best one. can anyone tell me which is the best and why? right now im thinking about getting the m3ds real perfect bundle.

All flash carts do just about the same things, load back-ups, play movies in DS format, MP3, pictures, homebrew and play GBA roms with the expansion.

R4 has gotten way to expensive and can only support 2 gig SD cards max.

I would stick with the M3DS Real perfect bundle, if you want to play GBA back up ups make sure you get the GBA Expansion with it.

I personally like the DSTT(holds SDHC cards) with the EZ-V 3-1 Expansion.

thanks for the help. i have more questions though. what does the gba expansion really do? i heard its required to play gba roms but am i supposed to put the roms onto the gba expansion? also should i get the replacement shells for the gba expansion and rumble pack or is it not necessary?

The GBA expension alows for GBA rom playback, without it you wont be able to play your gameboy advanced backup/roms

So i got myself a M3 Real and with the GBA Expension slot, and never been happier

so u still put the roms on the micro sd cards to put on the m3 real (Slot 1) and just insert the gba expansion the slot 2 to play gba roms? also wat is the replacement shells/cases for?

Yes, put roms on microsd cards,
yes insert GBa expansion to play GBA roms ON the microSD card.
Replacement shells are for replacing your current DS case. In case of the hinges being broken or just want to get a different color. The replacement shell will do just that

Is the only problem with r4ds the ridiculously high price? cause i found a site that is selling them for pretty cheap. i still cant choose between r4ds and m3ds. btw is there a diff between 1st and 2nd generation devices?

edit. nvm just found out the r4ds doesnt support micro sdhc cards. back to m3ds. does anyone kno if i can use the m3ds real with the 3 in 1 ez flash expansion pack (the one where they combined the gba, ram, and rumble into one slot2 card)?

it should work just fine all you will need to make it work with the m3ds real is a .nds file which you will use to play the gba roms.

RTS is implemented in NDS mode for both CycloDS and R4DS. I think theres a few more out there, not sure

stay away from low end brands. Go with Kingston, it may be a little more expensive, but will save you on the long run. You can buy that card, but you might run into issues with some games. Most games will run fine though

few roms will freeze on random occasions. For example, The world ends with you (Theres a topic in this section) will freeze because of a faulty card during the intro of the game

is the freezing and crashing on any flash cart? or is it only some that have this problem? also ive heard on other forums that the sandisk 8gb does not give the problems (crashing and freezing) the lower sandisks do. is that true?
