The Official Wii Accesories

Here is info on the official Wii accessories.

WII REMOTE
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_remote_en.jpg
The Wii Remote is the Wii console's revolutionary controller. It contains a built-in motion sensor and communicates wirelessly with the Sensor Bar for unprecedented precision and ease of use. It also has a rumble feature and a built-in speaker to immerse you even more in your favourite games.

One Wii Remote comes with every Wii console. The game Wii Play also comes bundled with a Wii Remote.

You can buy additional Wii Remotes from retailers for around £29/€39*.
*Estimated retail price.

The Wii Remote is powered by two AA batteries (included). Use only high quality alkaline batteries for the best game play experience and longevity of battery life.

NUNCHUCK
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_nunchuck_en.jpg
The Nunchuk is a Wii Remote accessory that gives an additional means of control in Nunchuk-compatible games. By connecting the Nunchuk to the Wii Remote you can benefit from its extra buttons, analogue joystick and motion-sensing controls.

With a Wii Remote in one hand and Nunchuk in the other, you have a new level of control. For instance in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the Wii Remote is your sword while the Nunchuk is your shield.

One Nunchuk comes with every Wii console.

You can buy additional Nunchuks from retailers for around £14/€19*.
*Estimated retail price.

CLASSIC CONTROLLER
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_virtual_console_en.jpg
Enjoy Virtual Console games the way they were meant to be played. The Classic Controller blends design elements from Nintendo's classic video game controllers, such as the NES, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64, into one comfortable control pad.

The Classic Controller is connected to the Wii Remote by a short cable. The Wii Remote provides the Controller with a wireless connection to the Wii console.

The Classic Controller is primarily used for playing Virtual Console games available for download from the Wii Shop Channel. Some Wii Disc games also use the Classic Controller. Look on the back of Wii game packaging to see which games are compatible.

You can buy the Classic Controller from retailers for around £14/€19*.
*Estimated retail price.

WII ZAPPER
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_zapper_en.jpg
This new accessory combines the accuracy of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in a single housing for a new experience for first-person shooters and targeting games. Players can hear the sounds of battle through the Wii Remote speaker when it is incorporated into the Wii Zapper. It will arrive on store shelves packaged with Nintendo-developed software that shows off its versatility.

WII WHEEL
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_wheel_2.jpg
Mario Kart Wii (to be released in 2008) launches with the Wii Wheel, a steering wheel housing for the Wii Remote that brings new controls and challenges for veteran gamers, while making getting into a race easy and intuitive for newcomers.

WII BALANCE BOARD
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_balance_board_en.jpg
The active-play phenomenon started by Wii Sports now spreads to your whole body thanks to the pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board, which comes packed with Wii Fit (to be released in 2008). The board is used for an extensive array of fun and dynamic activities, including aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and games

WII RGB CABLE
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_rgb_cable_en.jpg
The Wii RGB Cable links your Wii console to your TV, allowing you to view and enjoy your games with an enhanced image display.

RGB video splits the signal into three separate channels of video information for improved connection quality. The cable includes a Euro AV plug (SCART) for video and stereo audio output. Cable length is approximately 2.5 metres.

Before using the Wii RGB Cable, make sure your TV has a Euro AV terminal (SCART) that accepts RGB input.

You can buy the Wii RGB Cable from retailers for around £20/€30*.
*Estimated retail price.

WII COMPONENT CABLE

WII LAN ADAPTER
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_lan_adapter_en.jpg
Wii connects to the Internet wirelessly; however if you do not have a wireless Internet connection, the Wii LAN Adapter allows you to connect your Wii console to the Internet via a LAN cable connection.

The Wii LAN Adapter connects to one of the two USB ports on the rear of the Wii console, providing a connection point for a LAN cable (sold separately) leading to your broadband modem.

By connecting Wii to the Internet you can benefit from downloadable Virtual Console games via the Wii Shop Channel, news and weather updates in the News and Forecast Channels, and messaging functions in the Wii Message Board.

The Wii LAN Adapter can be purchased at retailers for around £20/€39*.
*Estimated retail price.

WII POINTS CARD
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/wii_points_card_en.jpg
The Wii Points Card offers another way to obtain Wii Points. Instead of buying Wii Points online through the Wii Shop Channel, you can purchase a Wii Points card from retailers.

Each card has a scratch-off panel revealing an activation code that you input in the Wii Shop Channel to redeem your points.

Wii Points can be redeemed in the Wii Shop Channel to make online purchases such as downloadable Virtual Console games.

UPDATED TO INCLUDE

WII STRAP
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/untitled.jpg
Strap that attaches to the bottom of the Wiimote and then goes around your wrist.

If the Wiimote slips out of your hand the this is designed to stop it smashing your gorgeous 50 inch plasma wink

The old strap is know for snapping and Nintendo is offering to replace the original version of the wrist straps for the Wii Remote with a newer version free of charge.

If you have the old wrist strap the click HERE! to order up to four new ones free of charge.

WII JACKET
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm311/The_Wii_Nes_Boy/Official%20Wii%20Stuff/Wii-Remote-Jacket-2.jpg
The Wii Remote Jacket, a durable, silicone cover for the Wii Remote, provides a variety of benefits for the player. Nintendo will include the Wii Remote Jacket with all Wii hardware systems and with all Wii Remotes sold separately or packaged with Wii Play. Hardware featuring the Wii Remote Jacket will begin shipping to retailers from October 2, 2007 and is expected to be on retail shelves from mid-October, 2007.

The Wii Remote Jacket provides a cushioning effect if the Wii Remote accidentally strikes a person or object or is accidentally dropped or thrown. Use of the Wii Remote Jacket is meant to supplement, not replace, the basic gameplay instructions: keep a firm grip, don’t let go of the controller, use the wrist strap and make sure your play area is free of people or objects.

The Wii Remote Jacket also serves as a cover for the Wii Remote, and has been designed to be added and removed easily, in case users want to slip their Wii Remote into an accessory like the upcoming Wii Zapper. Nintendo recommends players use the new Wii Remote Jacket as a cushiony shield, though the current Wii Remote is a safe product when used properly.

Current Wii owners who want to equip their Wii Remotes with the new Wii Remote Jacket free of charge can click HERE! to fill out the request form.

Re: The Official Wii Accesories

straps come with the wiimote, and they have those ugly looking wiicondom skins that you now get with every new wiimote.
