Question about D2E console, and which modchip is best in general
Just bought a wii today and am looking to pick up a modchip. I went to http://www.wiidrives.com/list and put in my serial, says I have a GC2-D2E chipset.
Based on my chipset, will this modchip be ok?
D2Pro9 V3 2.3+D2E Firmware + V4C WiiClip

Also if someone could tell me or point me in the right direction of where I can figure out what the differences between the main modchips are, that'd be great. I just want to pick the best one before I buy.

i have D2pro9 with v4 clip and have had NO problems with it and was easy to install however i cant read the update disc! my money would go on D2pro, WiiKey2 or WASP which also has stealth features

Thanks! But why can't you read the update disc, is that a common problem with the D2Pro9? And while I'm at it, what exactly do you update with the update disc?

right well i noticed they have now changed the file from their server it used to be d2pro9_utilitydisc_eur_v1.7.iso.bz2 but now its d2pro9_utilitydisc_eur_v1.7.tar.bz2 and the file opens better and has readme so guessing they fixed it... i will burn and report back!
but the disc isnt needed to much its just quite handy coz blocks all updates etc
D2Pro is probly the best although i herd many many great things about wiikey so maybe wiikey2 is better but at the time wiikey didnt support D2E so had to get D2Pro
