Homebrew Channel Beta 9

Most people on the scene probable already know that HBC beta 9 has been released and anyone who has their Wii conected to their internet connection will already be running Beta 9, for those of you who have not already updated then the time is now. There have been some fantastic changes made which has put a smile on many homebrewer faces, mainly the support for SDHC (SD cards over 4GB).

Changelog:

* Installer / updater now works with the October 23 update
* SDHC support
* REALLY fixed the memcard bug
* Installer now picks newest sane IOS, fixes some beta8 regressions
* Added a reload button (for SD card changes)
* Return to system menu skips warning
* Fixed some graphical glitches
* Saner XML load code
* Many fixes to underlying stuff in the newer libogc

If you are not already aware some homebrew apps and games may not work with version 9, this is because you now require a boot.dol to run them. If your App or other homebrew does not work please check that there is a boot.dol present, if it's not take a look and see if an update has been released as many people on the scene are updating their HB and app's to make sure they are compatible.

In other words if your homebrew doesn't work...

1. Check and see if a .dol file is present if there is rename it to boot.dol
2. Check and see if apps auther has released an update

thats all guys....... and girls big_smile

lol
i updated last nite by booting the boot.dol into HBC 8
lol
works like it would if you used twilight hack

the nicest feature yet is the reloader
now maybe if the made it

Re: Homebrew Channel Beta 9

i cant wait till we could autoboot the homebrew channel on startup. THAT would be cool.

Re: Homebrew Channel Beta 9

yeah, the custom channels are great. espically the new backup loader channel. i just dont like injecting a dol each time a new version comes out (which happens alot now). hey, you dont happen to have a ftpii channel, do you?
