Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but i just had a thought that there is no homebrew (that i know of) that makes use of the wii/ds connectivity. was just thinking that there's loads of things you could do with this feature:
send games (homebrew games not full games) to play on the ds just like the nintendo channel does with game demos.
use the ds as a controller for some games
picto-wii -- chat between wii and ds like pictochat.
Could even use this to put custom firmware on an unmodded ds (possibly i don't know if this is possible though.)
If any of this is wanted or even possible please reply, or suggestions for more things to do with the feature?
thanks in advance -- Joe
PS. Thanks to The_Wii_Nes_Boy_Again for telling me of the move or i could have been waiting for a response for a looong time lol thanks ![]()

until there is actually confirmation of a REAL custom firmware. I dont think we will see any type of Wii/DS connectivity. Its a good idea though

why would you need custom firmware for it? Sorry for being a noob, i only just joined the wii-hacking scene. I'm at the point of trying to inject a rom into a wad, its not going well >.<

Well the official firmware is probably limited on how far the wii can go. With custom firmware or even custom IOS, the Wii is not restricted of its boundaries. Thus, making it open for anything. It could be possible for the Wii and DS connectivity without Custom Firmware, but i wouldnt look forward to that.
