Re: Safari faster than Firefox?

If not even better, if I may add.
I have personally tried Win XP on a MacBook Pro. Which I personally installed after installing VMWare Fusion.
And I HAVE to say... It was.. A Friggin breeze.
Seriously.
All I had to do, is put in the CD, type in the CD-Key and Fusion did ALL the rest.
And the installation didnt take more than what.. 30 minutes MAX!

And think about it this way, sure yea, Macs ARE more expensive than most laptops and computers, but if your a real computer guy/girl, you'll know what I mean when I say: Extreme Compatibility.
The ONLY times a Mac has ever lagged when I was using one, its when using third party apps. Some like FireFox, but I still prefer it over Safari. But only when the system is very heavily loaded or that one program is heavily processing stuff. Like a few dozen tabs on FF is enough to freeze your God send PC, for heaven's sake!

But its just as Ned said, if you hate the company for what they do to their employees, why should you hate their products?
I mean, in the end, those same employees you are helping by buying these gadgets.
Besides, if they really have it that bad, how come they never did anything about it?
I mean, yea, I dont know you guys here very well, I just got here, but from what you have said it sounds really ignorant how you hate Apple with no apparent reason that you have stated.

You want my reasons for liking Apple and their products?
Here is one in addition to Ned's:
Organization.
Everything goes into its right place. Even if you mess, it falls into its correct place and where its supposed to be.
Plug in ya iPod or iPhone, iTunes pops up (If you want it to) And asks you what you wanna do.
Everything has its own path and destination in such a way, it makes XP and Vista look like a trailer park just whipped up and messed around with by a tornado or something.

I have a million reasons if you want to know more, but I REALLY wanna know YOUR reasons for hating Apple... Or their products rather.

But, lets not forget, in the end, its business. Thats why we have Apple today. They wanna make money. Dont expect them to be a God send. Be a bit more realistic. big_smile

Hope I didnt piss anybody off, and if I did, I didnt mean to, and I apologize.

Peace out, ya'll.

The Operator. wink

Re: Safari faster than Firefox?

All i know is whenever i use an apple product i feel like the product was designed for an idiot. Which isnt a bad thing....it's actually a pretty good thing if you're uhh...well an idiot. But the company its self is shady as hell, if you've ever actually done ipod/iphone repair you would realize that those products are designed to crap out after 1-2 years of heavy use, forcing you to buy a new apple product. Also anytime apple codes anything for window's, like itunes, quicktime, and safari. You will notice that they run notably slower then they do on OS X. Apple could easily optimize these softwares, but they purposely don't do them because the joe smoe who just uses his computer to update his ipod will notice he can do it faster on OS X because itunes runs better on it, so he'll buy an apple. Only thing i give them is design, they really no how to make nice looking stuff!

I'd like to play the BS card here. I don't own an Apple computer but my family owns:
5 iPods
2 iPhones
1 Apple Wired Keyboard
All of them are in perfect working order. Okay, the front of a few of the iPods are scratched up pretty bad, but that could easily happen with any other name brand MP3 player.

In their defense, they don't have to optimize it. They definitely could, but they choose not to.
Let's look at this the other way: Mac's can run Windows whether you like it or not. Knowing this, shouldnt Microsoft advertise that if you buy a Mac, you can install THEIR OS onto the computer? That could also be seen as shady.
Besides, instead of whining about how slow Apple made software is, just use their Windows alternatives because then again, Windows is the platform that they were made for wink

Re: Safari faster than Firefox?

Exactly.
But, nevertheless, if you wanna talk about stuff crapping out.. How about XP and Vista after a few WEEKS or months of heavy use?
But lets look at it this way; look at the features in the iPod (example), the material and the technology used. You want something that is palm sized yet sturdy as a rod of iron? Thats a bit ridiculous. And if your gonna start talking about other products on the market, I'll tell you this: compare em all in ALL aspects, and I KNOW you'd choose the iPod. Regardless of whatever.
Now, about their systems.. Maybe its for convenience? Thats one of the reasons I actually like Mac OS's. They make things simpler and easier to use. The only thing I dont regret using Windows for is actually getting to know more. The harder to do something, the more knowledge you'd gain from it. But that doesnt mean making it easier would be a messed up idea, know what am saying?

All in all, I'd take an Apple product ANYDAY over ANY other competitor product.

iOperator. <<; LOL!
