I'm sure by now there is a way

To get the latest update for my wii without having to lose the homebrew browser. I'm worried about updating my wii because of that, but i want to know has anyone found a way to do so or has the latest update in wad form. One that has been moded to not kill my wii homebrew?

go google Cios Rev 14 and update it using HBC, is the last project from Waninkoko as he'd quit and went to other platform. Hmmmm i wonder which platform he'll be doing?

Re: I'm sure by now there is a way

Is there a way to keep up with the updates by not installing the programing that screws up the homebrew?

I'm trying to get stuff like the opera browser update and i can't get into my wii shop channel without getting a full system update.

And who knows what else i'm missing.

Is that cios rev 14 going to help me with that?

Thanks in advance

Re: I'm sure by now there is a way

Updated this to the 4.1 installer.

What you will need:

a) Homebrew Channel already installed

b) cIOS249r14

c) Waninkokos firmware updater 4.1

d) Patched IOS60

e) 300+ free blocks in your Wii memory

Copy the app and wad to your SD card and do the following:

1) Install cIOS249 rev14.

2) Install IOS60patched.wad with wad manager.

3) Restart your Wii.

4) Now run Waninkokos Firmware-Updater_4.1 and follow any prompts until it's finished.

You will now have System menu 4.1 with most of your homebrew working and the ability to play pirate wads off of your SD card. If you really want the shop channel then install it offline with these wads.

Thanks in advance by the way

Waninkoko's updater lets you update without lossing any functionality.

Now i have a new problem. I got the black screen, Is there a way to get out of there?

I can't access the preloader by holding the power button. When i turn it on it's just black.
