Alright folks, sorry to keep you all waiting on the information regarding the tournaments. Our staff members here at NES-Hacks have worked hard on gathering the details of the Tournaments, and we've tested and tested and the only game that seems to be stable for the tournaments is SSBB. We're not saying that the Mario Kart Tournament is canceled, but since SSBB is more stable, so we're gonna kick that tournament off first. So go out there and tell all your friends and family to sign up for the tournaments. Remember that the first 16 to signup on "Signup" day will be locked onto a bracket. Also, please give the proper thanks to the staff members here for their donations for the prizes.

SSBB Tournament

Schedule:
August 2, 2008 - Prizes announced for Winners of Tournaments
                      Details and Rules announced
                      Encourage people to start signing up at our site and get their friend codes ready
August 6, 2008 - Official signup begins
August 15, 2008 - Elimination Process Begins
                          (First 16 participants are locked in for signing up first)
August 24, 2008 - 32 Final Participants revealed
August 29, 2008 - Matches and tourney brackets announced
September 1, 2008 - Tourney Starts

Details:
    * 1 on 1 fighting
    * 2 Minute Time Limit
    * Replays must be available for you. (You need to check if you have it)
    * Both participants must participate in the "NES-Hacks Tournament Live Chat"  Section before and after the battle so we can verify the winners and losers. Must be available in there 10 minutes prior to battle and 10 minutes after
      (Just because you lose doesn't mean you have to be a sore loser, contribute or       you wont be eligible for future tournaments)
    * Depending on how many participants we have, there will be at least 5 matches a day until we get to the semi-finals
    * No Items
    * Combatants must agree on stage during live chat, otherwise main SSBB stage will be used
    * There will be a new signup thread dedicated for the tournament. It will be active on August 6th at 5PM Pacific Time (-7 GMT)
    * First 16 Participants to sign up during that time will lock themselves into a bracket. (Doesn't matter if you're a staff member or not)

Prizes:

    * IF we get more than 50 participants,

Winner of tournament will get a new custom title on the forums of "Brawl Champion"
AND you will be able to choose 1 of the following 3 prizes
1. $50 USD gift card
2. Anything from Dealxtreme totaling $50
3. A Cyclowiz Modchip with $20 USD giftcard

Runner up with receive a brand new SSBB strategy guide

    * If we get less than 50 participants,

Winner of tournament will get a new custom title on the forums of "Brawl Champion"
AND you will receive a brand new SSBB strategy guide

Runner up will get nothing

Rules:

    * One Entry per person, forum account required, open to all member groups
    * Only one entry per IP address and household. IP addresses will be checked for multiple entries.
    * Matches will be drawn randomly by the Admins, time will be accommodated for the first round.
    * Replays from Winners will be required to declare you as the winner.
    * The tournament will start on September 01 2008 and will NOT end until there is a winner
    * Participants that are caught cheating will be disqualified automatically and the opponent will be declared the winner of the match

Please keep in mind that the Details, Rules, and Prizes of the tournaments could be changed prior to the tournament. However, it will NOT be changed once the tournament starts
