Some modifications and updates have been released for certain modchips on the Wii market. We have four updates for four different modchips, so lets narrow down what’s new!

The d2pro now comes with an “Update Blocking” feature that comes bundled with a new utility disc (v1.7):
An Update Blocker feature has been added to d2pro and is available via a DVD update included in v1.7 of the utility disc available for download in the resources section. After running the utility disc and allowing the update of d2pro to proceed, d2pro will block all updates from other regions. You can also enable the blocking of all regions if via the utility disc.
The d2lite gets a new firmware (v1.2) as well as the Update Blocker found in the d2pro:
Head over to the resources section to download a new copy of the d2lite v1.2 (’Aurora’) firmware and accompanying config discs. After the firmware update, you will be able to take advantage of the new Update Blocker feature. This lets you choose to stop other-region firmware updates delivered by other-region games that can cause serious problems.

For those that own a Wasabi modchip, you get a new upgrade and configuration disc (v1.4) with more features:
After upgrading, you could use the same disc to enter a configuration menu that lets you enable/disable Wii Region Free, GC Audio Fix, Update blocker and allows you to change drive read speed. Most of those options should speak for themselves. When Update Blocker (Imports) is turned on and an import disc that contains an update is inserted, the update partition will be ignored. Enable it if you want to avoid any duplicate channel or brick problem due to an incompatible Wii update, but still want to play games from other regions. The same thing happens when Update Blocker (Domestic) is turned on, except that it targets discs of the same region as the Wii. Use that one if you want to avoid any System Menu update.

Last but not least, we have the v1.2 update to the WiiKey modchip with, you guessed it, it’s own Regional Update Blocker:
An Update Blocker feature has now been added to Wiikey 2 and is available as a DVD update in the resources section. By default, this new feature will block harmful other-region updates to your Wii, that are included in some games, but allow own-region updates. There is also a config option to block all updates regardless of region.
Finally, lets link you where to go to get all the goodies!
