If you are using Bootmii as the boot of the wii , make sure you don’t miss out this update: BootMii configuration Editor. At this time ,Pembo has edited something inside the programme and the changelog is given below:

Settings Dialog to change editor settings. This can be accessed by pressing the ‘HOME’ button. The settings are persisted to the langauges file, so if you change the language/skin, whenever you load BootMii Configuration Editor, your selected options will be the default
Internationalisation Supported (Currently English & Spanish Langauges available). Further langauges can be added by editing the bce_messages.xml file. See the readme.txt for details of how to do this
Online version Checking. When the Editor is loaded, it performs a check to see if the version running is the latest available version. If a newer version is available, then a message is shown for a few seconds during startup to indicate this. This online checking can be disabled if you do not wish BootMii Configuration Editor to check for a new version or do not have the wii networked. If you wish to disable this check, see the instructions in the readme.txt

Please make sure that you have correctly edit the XML or you would have a crash.

If you have to change the setting in BootMii , I needn’t remove the SD card and insert it - BootMii configuration editor allows you to change the values in the /bootmii/bootmii.ini file without having to take out the SD card and edit it on a PC.

The information below display how you can change the setting in the BootMii configuration editor

BootMii Configuration Editor allows you to change:

video mode to one of the following options
NTSC
PAL50
PAL60
PROGRESSIVE
auto boots to the selected option after the delay time
OFF (stay in BootMii Menu)
SYSTEM MENU
HOMEBREW CHANNEL
boot delay time (This requires BootMii beta 2 to have any effect
0 - Don’t show BootMii Screen
1 - Show BootMii for 1 Second
2 - Show BootMii for 2 Seconds
3 - Show BootMii for 3 Seconds
4 - Show BootMii for 4 Seconds
5 - Show BootMii for 5 Seconds
Currently the application always rewrites the bootmii.ini file when you save the options.

BootMii Beta 2!

May 28th, 2009

Posted by The_Wii_Nes_Boy

Yep BootMii beta 2 has been released for your Wii hacking needs, with a list of minor bug fixes as long as a Micheal Jacksons ex chimpanzees arm which would be to long to post here :P But I can how even give you a list of the best of these fixes.

Thanks to member RiPPERD for the info.

BootMii beta 2 (v0.9):

* SD card performance has been improved, decreasing the boot and the NAND backup / restore time
* backupmii accepts fragmented SD cards now, reformatting is not performed anymore. Old NAND dumps are still compatible.
* Introduced the INI variable “BOOTDELAY” to set the timeout for the auto boot feature

The Homebrew Channel v1.0.3:

* SDHC cards are working again
* SD performance has been increased again (regression was introduced in v1.0.2)
* HBC works on all system menu versions now
* Fixed rare hangs when exiting HBC

DVDX:

* Switched back to IOS < 37. While the SDHC problem for apps using DVDX has been fixed in libogc, there were also problems with USB keyboards under higher IOS versions

Installer v0.2:

* Installer now works on newer Wiis with boot2v4 (instead of rebooting at “Press 1″)
* Fixed reading of boot1/2 on Wiis with bad ECC data in that area
* BootMii as boot2 and IOS can now be uninstalled

Now that the Twilight Hack has seen it’s use and the BannerBomb exploit has been released, the legendary team behind the TP Hack has released the source code.

Will we see any new and weird hacks rise from the ashes of the TP source code? I doubt it but watch this space and we’ll find out.

BannerBomb v1.08

May 19th, 2009

Posted by nedthehead

It’s real, it’s here, and it’s recieving updates by the hour!

Or at least it seems like it. bushing and the dev team have gotten together to give us the next edition of BannerBomb, the brand new exploit for the Wii! No more will you need Twilight Princess when you can simply load a file off of your SD Card to run unsigned code, install The Homebrew Channel, and other goodies! And the best news is that this is compatible with the new System 4.0!

There have been eight (count em) revisions in the past week, but they have all fixed relatively minor and graphical bugs. So, let’s catch you up with the changes since the release of such an awesome accomplishment!

v104 - v108

  • Message “Load /boot.dol?” changed to “Load /boot.dol/elf?”
  • Attempted to prevent the freeze-after-a-minute bug (other than by disabling WC24)
  • Added a message about the scam at the first popup

v103

  • Added some stuff that may or may not help with stability.

v102

  • First public release

Well, it is a bit vague, but any progress is good progress, especially on the next great exploit which will allow us to mod any Wii currently on the market!

Thanks to the dev team behind this once again for this work of coding art!
