We have three new emulator updates today. All of them for retro Nintendo systems, so let’s kill three birds with one stone!

We’ve got ourselves the v2.07 update to our NES Emulator, FCE Ultra GX. Pretty big list of changes, and a very worthwhile update:

DCelso has modified the code for the N64 emulator to introduce support for the WiiMote and Nunchuk. The emulator itself has been repackaged as a .dol file to better suit the new HomeBrew Channel.

We are not sure of any other improvements that may have been made to the emulator because no changelog or readme is released with this file. Either way, feel free to download it and check it out.

Visual Boy Advance GX 1.0.4

Here’s a new version of Visual Boy Advance GX - 1.0.4. VBA GX is now a full port of VBA-M - this version adds blaarg’s new sound core, and the latest changes to the GB core. I’ve also made some significant changes to the audio/video porting code - the overall experience should be much improved. Other notable changes include a per-game settings configuration (automatic) that will improve game compatibility - saving problems should be gone. Gamecube users, I haven’t forgotten you - Gamecube support is back!

Warnings/Notes:
(1) Using Save or state files from older versions may cause this version to CRASH or other strange side effects (no sound)! If you’re having problems, delete your old save/state file, and/or turn off auto-load. Save/state files created/loaded with this version work fine.
(2) GameCube support is SD only!
(3) Patch support is for SD/USB/SMB only. Name the patch file the same as the ROM name (except the extension) and place it in your ROM folder.

Here’s the changelog from Hermes, translation courtesy of Google:

- Supports roms in. PCE or compressed. Bz2 (the program can compress to this format, by pressing a button) or. Zip
- Supports ISO and a special file. Toc which contains a description of all tracks of audio-data. Ie: my emulator also supports the audio (which can be in formats. WAV or. OGG) or discs with multiple tracks of data.
- I have prepared a utility for you to create the file. Toc and tracks data in. Iso formato.ogg and audio from a CD-ROM image in CUE / BIN
- It supports up to four Wiimote and you can configure the buttons to add autofire or exchange them, for example
- You can save the state complete a game to recover and continue playing later. The saves are compressed to minimize space
- You can capture a frame format. Bmp and then display it from the same Wii or export it to the PC to portray a good death XD, a score achieved or curiosity. When entering a rom the meter is set to 0 and will catch numbering in succession. On the stand CDROM, for example, Dracula X is reduced its size from 506MB of. Bin to only 63 MB using iso / ogg.
- I strongly recommend that you read the readme.txt, especially how to create files. Toc (though the utility bincuesplit it will create everything automatically, if you have the game on CD-ROM image format BIN / CUE.
