Here is our first review for a Wii game! How does Wii Fit stack up in your mind “Stalvros?
i just bought wii-fit today~
It’s very very good~
I bought it for SG$179.00
(is that cheap?)
I would like to recommend this to people!
It’s so good!
THey even measured your BMI and your body balance
which is what’s needed to maintain a good posture~
I’m still playing aerobics at the moment~
I must say that i’m quite impressed~
There are 4 types [of training]
- Yoga
- Strength
- Aerobics
- Balance
Yoga trains your breathing and flexibiligy
Stength trains your muscular fitness
Aerobics helps you burns fats
Balance helps you maintain good posture
the board measures your center of balance~
Pretty accurate measurement actually.
I tried the SKI game, its very good~
But i cant seem to balance properly unless i stretch out my hand~
they have those aerobics exercise that you can do to make you lose weight XD
i like the running part especially.
but the bad thing is that;
1st - i dont really like jogging on the spot
2nd - if you sprint, you fall~
But yeah its quite a good game and a good device~ I was thinking like, what the HELL am i paying for anyways?
but now id say its quite worth it~
Editors note: Nice review! I wasn’t originally interested in the game, but it got MANY good reviews! I wonder how much to rent it…
The impending release of the Wii’s first homebrew media player is upon us. Now you’ll be able to play back many common video and audio formats on your Wii! In fact, look at the features list:
Wii Miidia as you can guess is a Media Center for the Nintendo Wii based off of XBMC. Since the Wii comes with it’s own Weather Channel I had decided to strip the weather functions from Wii Miidia. There are still a few bugs that I am trying to work out but one of the best features this offers in my opinion is the ability to listen to Shoutcast Radio on the Wii. Right now this only supports streaming files and files stored on the SD Card, however since there is recent developments by SVPE I hope to be able to include USB Storage devices as well in the future.
Video Support:
MPEG, MPEG2, MPEG4, DIVX, XVID, MOV, WMV, VOB and more.
Audio Support:
AAC, MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, MID and more.
No release yet, but stay tuned for a release in the next little while. Only a .elf release at first, but as this project gets more in-depth, it will be released as a channel. NES-Hacks will update you on a release!
Here is a neat way to make some cool music with your Wiimote!
“Nice experiment using my Nintendo Wiimote as a controller for the OSC frequency of my Moog Little Phatty… (Check out the OSC knob cursor moving on the LP)
It sound like a Theremin ;-)â€
